Equipment

  • Large Wok
  • Sharp Knife
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Small Bowl
  • Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 CHICKEN BREASTS
  • 1 tbsp VEGETABLE OIL
  • 1 large ONION
  • 2 cloves GARLIC
  • 1 tsp GINGER
  • 2 tbsp CURRY POWDER
  • 1 tbsp PLAIN FLOUR
  • 400 ml CHICKEN STOCK
  • 1 tbsp SOY SAUCE
  • 100 g FROZEN PEAS
  • 1 tsp SUGAR

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Prepare all your fresh vegetables and meat first. Slice the chicken into very thin strips. Chop the onions and mince the garlic well.

Step 2:

  • Heat the oil in your large wok now. Add the chicken strips to the hot oil. Fry them until they turn golden brown.

Step 3:

  • Remove the chicken from the wok and set aside. Add the onions to the same hot wok. Cook them until they are soft and clear.

Step 4:

  • Stir in the garlic and the fresh ginger. Cook these for just one minute more. Do not let the garlic turn brown.

Step 5:

  • Add the curry powder and the plain flour. Stir well to coat all the onions. Cook the flour for two minutes slowly.

Step 6:

  • Pour in the chicken stock very slowly now. Stir constantly to avoid any flour lumps. The sauce will start to get thick.

Step 7:

  • Add the soy sauce and the white sugar. Put the cooked chicken back into the wok. Let it simmer for five minutes gently.

Step 8:

  • Toss in the frozen peas at the end. Cook for two more minutes until hot. Your delicious curry is now ready to serve.
