Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Electric Mixer
  • Measuring cups
  • Baking Pan
  • Saucepan
  • Spatula
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

  • 1 box WHITE CAKE MIX
  • 1 cup GUAVA NECTAR
  • 3 large EGGS
  • 1/2 cup VEGETABLE OIL
  • 8 oz CREAM CHEESE
  • 1/2 cup WHITE SUGAR
  • 8 oz WHIPPED TOPPING
  • 2 cups GUAVA NECTAR for glaze
  • 1/4 cup CORNSTARCH
  • 1 tbsp LEMON JUICE

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees now. Grease your baking pan with non-stick spray. This prevents the cake from sticking later.

Step 2:

  • Mix the cake mix and nectar together. Add the eggs and the oil slowly. Use a medium speed on your mixer.

Step 3:

  • Pour the batter into the pan evenly. Tap the pan to remove air bubbles. Bake it for thirty minutes until golden.

Step 4:

  • Take the cake out of the oven. Let it cool on the wire rack. It must be cold before you frost.

Step 5:

  • Mix the nectar and sugar in a pan. Add the cornstarch to thicken the glaze. Whisk it well so there are no lumps.

Step 6:

  • Boil the glaze on the stove. Stir it until it looks clear and thick. Remove it from the heat to cool.

Step 7:

  • Beat the cream cheese and sugar together. Add the vanilla for a nice scent. The mixture should be very smooth now.

Step 8:

  • Fold in the whipped topping very gently. Do not mix it too fast or hard. This keeps the frosting very airy.

Step 9:

  • Spread the cream frosting on the cool cake. Cover the whole top layer very well. Make the surface as flat as possible.

Step 10:

  • Pour the cool glaze over the frosting. Spread it out to the very edges. The glaze should look like a pink mirror.

Step 11:

  • Put the cake in the fridge. Let it set for two hours. This makes it much easier to slice.
