Equipment

  • Muffin Tin
  • Paper Liners
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Sturdy Fork
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Silicon Spatula
  • Wire Cooling Rack
  • Oven Mitts

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 1 cup GRANULATED SUGAR
  • 1 tsp BAKING SODA
  • 0.5 tsp SALT
  • 3 large RIPE BANANAS
  • 0.5 cup MELTED BUTTER
  • 1 large EGG
  • 1 tsp VANILLA EXTRACT
  • 0.5 tsp GROUND CINNAMON

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Heat your oven to 350 degrees now. This ensures the oven is ready. Line your muffin tin with papers. This makes serving the muffins easy.

Step 2:

  • Whisk the flour and sugar together. Use your large mixing bowl here. Add the baking soda and salt. Mix them until they are combined.

Step 3:

  • Place your ripe bananas in a bowl. Mash them carefully with a fork. Do not leave any large chunks. Make the texture very smooth.

Step 4:

  • Add the melted butter to bananas. Pour in the egg and vanilla. Stir these wet ingredients very well. The mixture should look very creamy.

Step 5:

  • Pour wet mix into dry mix. Use your spatula for this task. Stir them until just combined now. Do not overmix the thick batter.

Step 6:

  • Scoop the batter into the tin. Fill each cup three quarters full. This gives them room to grow. Use a large metal spoon.

Step 7:

  • Place the tin in the oven. Bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes. The tops should look golden brown. Use a timer for accuracy.

Step 8:

  • Check them with a small toothpick. It should come out very clean. This means the middle is done. Do not bake them too long.

Step 9:

  • Remove the tin from the oven. Let them sit for five minutes. This helps them firm up slightly. Then move to a rack.
