Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Colander
  • Large Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Dish
  • Chef Knife
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 1 lb SPAGHETTI
  • 2 cups CHICKEN
  • 1 can CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP
  • 1 can CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP
  • 1 cup CHICKEN BROTH
  • 1 cup SOUR CREAM
  • 1 lb VELVEETA CHEESE
  • 2 tbsp BUTTER
  • 1 cup ONION
  • 1 cup BELL PEPPER
  • 1 tsp SALT
  • 1 tsp PEPPER

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Cook your spaghetti in the large pot. Use plenty of water and some salt. Boil it until it is just barely soft. Drain the water and set it aside.

Step 2:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease your baking dish with some soft butter. This keeps the pasta from sticking later. Do not skip this important step.

Step 3:

  • Melt the butter in your large skillet. Add the chopped onions and bell peppers. Cook them until they are very soft. This should take about five minutes.

Step 4:

  • Get your large mixing bowl ready now. Combine the mushroom soup and chicken soup. Add the sour cream and chicken broth. Stir until the mixture is very smooth.

Step 5:

  • Add the cooked chicken to the bowl. Stir in the sautéed onions and peppers. Add the cubes of Velveeta cheese now. Mix everything together with your wooden spoon.

Step 6:

  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the mixing bowl. Toss it gently to coat every noodle. Make sure the sauce covers all the pasta. Transfer the mixture into your baking dish.

Step 7:

  • Place the dish into the hot oven. Bake it for about thirty minutes total. The cheese should be bubbly and hot. The top will look light golden brown.

Step 8:

  • Remove the dish from the oven carefully. Let it sit for five minutes. This helps the sauce thicken up more. Serve it warm to your hungry family.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save a lot of time.
  • Do not overcook the pasta before you bake it.
  • Add extra cheese on top for a crispy crust.
  • Swap Velveeta for cheddar if you want sharper flavor.
  • Let it rest for five minutes before you serve.
  • Add a bit of cayenne for a spicy kick.
  • Use low sodium soups to control the salt level.
