  • Glass Jar
  • Rubber Spatula

Ingredients

  • 8 oz TOMATO SAUCE
  • 2 tbsp WHITE VINEGAR
  • 1 tsp CUMIN
  • 1 tsp CHILI POWDER
  • 1/2 tsp GARLIC POWDER
  • 1/2 tsp ONION POWDER
  • 1/4 tsp CAYENNE PEPPER
  • 1 tsp SUGAR
  • 1/2 tsp SALT
  • 1/2 tsp SMOKED PAPRIKA

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Clear a space on your kitchen counter. Get your small mixing bowl ready. Pour the plain tomato sauce inside.

Step 2:

  • Measure your white vinegar very carefully. Add the vinegar to the tomato sauce. Use your whisk to stir them.

Step 3:

  • Grab all of your dry spices now. Add the cumin and chili powder first. Then add the garlic and onion powder.

Step 4:

  • Add the sugar and the salt next. Sprinkle in the cayenne pepper for heat. Put in the smoked paprika last.

Step 5:

  • Stir the mixture with your whisk. Move the whisk in fast circles. Make sure all the lumps disappear.

Step 6:

  • Taste a small drop of the sauce. See if it needs more salt. Add more spices if you want.

Step 7:

  • Place a funnel over your glass jar. Pour the sauce into the jar. Secure the lid on the top.

Step 8:

  • Put the jar in your fridge now. Let it sit for one hour. This helps the flavors blend well.
